Regular Meetings

Sunday Services

10:30am – Morning Service

Normally, there is a Sunday school for children up to 11yrs old (yr 6) which this takes place during the morning service. Also, normally, after the service, we enjoy an informal time of fellowship over coffee and tea, which is served in our hall.

5:30pm – Evening Service

Both our services include prayer, singing, Bible reading and Preaching.  We normally sing a mixture of traditional and some contemporary hymns, which are projected.  The Preaching of God’s Word is just that. We normally work systematically through a book of the Bible, exposing and applying what God says in His Word.  All our sermons are available to listen to on our ‘Sermons’ page. We use the NIV 1984 translation.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper together twice a month; normally the first Sunday morning in a month and the third Sunday evening.

There is normally a short prayer meeting 15mins before the start of each service.

An induction loop system is installed for the benefit of those with hearing aids.

Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer meeting

We meet each week at 7:30pm. The main parts of the meeting include a Bible Study and a time of prayer. We also normally sing one or two hymns.

The Bible Study, like our Sunday services normally includes working through a book of the Bible.

The Prayer time follows the Bible Study, praying in response to what has been taught and about other matters.

Once a month (normally the first Wednesday), we invite a missionary organization to come and speak to us about their work; or hear an update concerning the 4 missionaries we regularly support. This will take up the ‘Bible Study’ part of the meeting; but we still come together for prayer, as normal.

Ladies Fellowship

We have a ladies meeting every other Wednesday during term time, which meets at 10:30am. This typically includes a hot drink on arrival followed by an informal time of Bible reading and singing.  Each meeting there is a speaker who comes to share something from the Bible.

Prospects

Once a month, at 7:30pm on a Thursday (normally the first Thursday) we have a meeting for those with learning disabilities.  This is a relaxed and enjoyable time of singing (with instruments), learning a memory verse from the Bible and hearing a short Bible talk.   Afterwards, we have refreshments together in our hall.

Rooted

Rooted takes place on Friday nights between 7:30 – 9pm during term time. It is for young people in school years 7-11. Each week we enjoy various group activities followed by a short Bible talk. If you are interested in coming along, please contact the church for a consent form and more details.
